Patient no AN12

GENDER : FEMALE
BORN : 1952
NATIONALITY : SWEDISH
DIAGNOSIS : LYMPHATIC OEDEMA

INFORMATION AS GIVEN BY THE PATIENT (JUNE 2003)

In 1997, following treatment for cancer, I contracted erysipelas on my left leg with concurrent lymphatic oedema that increased the weight of the leg by more than 3 kilos. Most of this was reduced through lymphatic drainage, but severe scarring and damaged valves hindered the transport of the lymph. Radiation damage in the bowel, causing haemorrhaging and diarrhoea was also deliterious to the lymph flow.

In the Summer of 2002 the therapist suggested I try the ECT therapy with Susanne Johansson.

During the following year, the scar tissue has softened considerably and my legs have regained their natural colour. My bowel function has improved considerable and I have only suffered a few relapses. I can also see that my general constitution has improved dramatically.

The stamina and mobility I possess today is, I feel, reminiscent of how I felt more than 10 years ago. It no longer seems incredible that my legs will revert to their normal state.
