Patient no 48

GENDER : MALE
BORN : 1954
NATIONALITY : SWEDISH
DIAGNOSIS : LYMPH CANCER

INFORMATION AS GIVEN BY THE PATIENT (MARCH 2004)
I was diagnosed with lymph cancer in 1999. I knew I had a much weakened defence system. Recently I learnt I had a tumour about 5cms in size in my breast, which had been there for the past six months.
Now, after only 4 treatments with ECT, the tumour has almost disappeared.  I have become active again; I can now take long walks and play 18 holes of golf. Each ECT treatment has given me more energy.
When I first visited a doctor five years ago, I had a lump on one side of my neck. He said “with lymph cancer you tend to get lumps popping up”. After the discovery of the first lump I had radiation treatment for 20 days, followed by chemotherapy. The lump disappeared and I felt fine for six months.
However, another lump appeared on the other side of my neck and I had to undergo more radiation and chemotherapy. Again it disappeared, but lumps appeared under my arm and in my groin; again more radiation and chemotherapy. The lumps disappeared and then 18 months later I had stem cells transplanted.  The doctors are trying to manipulate the transplanted cells.

Since I started ECT treatment I have felt better and as I said, the tumour in my breast has almost disappeared.  I shall continue my ECT treatment.

Current situation ~ as at December 2009 ~ still doing well.
